The Capital Chapter is one of the oldest and remains one of the largest among the Alfa Romeo Owners Club founded in 1959, barely one year after our national Club began. Back then Alfas were rare — hard to find, difficult to maintain, challenging to understand — and the Club gave enthusiasts (“Alfisti”) a place to learn, how to keep them happy, to exchange knowledge and parts, and to share their passion. There are more of these cars now, as 21st-century Alfas have joined the vintage ones. Joining the Capital Alfa Romeo Club is a great way to learn more about these iconic Italian cars, participate in social events, get tech help, and make lifelong friendships along the way…and drive!
If you are an Alfa owner, or someone interested in this century-old Italian automotive brand, we’d love to get to know you and share the thrills of the open road, the show field, and the track!
The Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) is a national organization. You can join the Club at www.aroc-usa.org. If you live in our region (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia), select the Maryland MD (Chapter 04) Capital Chapter AROC membership, to sign on to our Chapter at no additional cost. Joining AROC with the Capital Chapter Standard membership is $68.00 annually.
We look forward to keeping you updated on our club-driving events, monthly dinners, annual BBQ picnic, spring fling, the annual AROC National Convention, and unique opportunities offered by our sponsors and regional Alfa Romeo studios. With close to 200 convivial chapter members, we hope you’ll join the DMV chapter and fellow Alfisti on the next club excursion! 2025 Capital Chapter il calendario Events
Sunday, December 14 | Holiday Party
Brewster’s Aquarian Dawn (Alba dell’Acquario) – 2942 E Fayette St., Baltimore, MD 21224
The Capital Chapter of AROC’s annual holiday party will be held in Baltimore this Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 12:00 to 4:00. Please RSVP to Brewster at BrewThack@gmail.com or 703/508-4418 so we know how many to expect.
FOOD: The Chapter will provide main dishes, wine, and soft drinks. Members are encouraged to share additional drinks, snacks, or desserts.
LOCATION: Brewster’s new Baltimore venture, Aquarian Dawn (Alba dell’Acquario). Responding to member requests for a mid-day event while the winter days are shorter, we will go from noon to 4:00 at 2942 E Fayette St., Baltimore, MD 21224.
PARKING: This is an urban location but there is ample parking. My favorite place to park is a quiet, one-way street on the block behind my house (GPS 2927 Pulaski Highway). Parking on E Fayette is usually fine, though I would not recommend it for a 95-point concurso Sprint Speciale. Any neighboring side streets to the south are also good and easy free parking. N Potomac St. is a dead end beside the house; parking on my side of that street should be fine but not on the opposite side, please. Anyone who wishes to park a special car in front of my garage, I can reserve two spaces there by request.
SILENT AUCTION: Let’s have a silent auction! If you have something Alfa-related or similar to contribute please let Brewster know. Silent auction items can have 100 percent of sales go to the Chapter, or be split 50/50 for the donor and the Club. Details and rules will be posted. Please bring a check or the ability to pay electronically for any purchases.

If you’re interested in organizing a chapter club event or have other event ideas, please contact the Chapter President, Brewster Thackeray, at BrewThack@gmail.com. Chapter members benefit! Capital Chapter members, if you have an Alfa Romeo that you are looking to sell, please forward the information to Brewster and the potential to list on the CapitalAlfa.org website.
