Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) Capital Chapter ~ Driving D.C., Maryland, & Northern Virginia Alfas since 1959

The Capital Chapter is one of the oldest among the Alfa Romeo Owners Club, founded in 1959, barely one year after our national Club began. Back then Alfas were rare — hard to find, difficult to maintain, challenging to understand — and the Club gave enthusiasts a place to learn how to keep them happy, and to exchange knowledge and parts, and to share their passion. There are many more of the cars now, both vintage and modern, and their owners still enjoy having a Club to connect us with each other so we can learn more about cars, events, and opportunities.

If you are an Alfa owner yourself, or someone interested in this century-old Italian automotive brand, we’d love to get to know you and share the thrills of the open road, the show field, and the track!

The Alfa Romeo Owners Club is a national organization. You can join the Club at www.aroc-usa.org. If you live in our region (Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia), select the Maryland MD (Chapter 04) Capital Chapter AROC membership, to sign on to our Chapter at no additional cost. We look forward to keeping you updated on our events, the AROC National Convention, and unique opportunities offered by our sponsors and regional Alfa Romeo studios.

July, 2020 | The local chapter monthly dinners are currently postponed until later dates. Typically chapter dinners alternate between a couple locations, including Chiapparelli’s Restaurant in Baltimore, Pulcinella’s in McLean and Vicino’s in Silver Spring. Show up at, before, or after 7 PM. Quick business meeting at 7:30 PM. Learn about upcoming events and enjoy the company of fellow Alfisti!

September 10-13, 2020 |Vintage Grand Prix at the Watkins Glen
Alfas are returning as the featured marque at this year’s Hilliard U.S. Vintage Grand Prix at the Glen – birthplace of North American road racing and one of the largest vintage racing events in the country. On behalf of the organizers of “Alfas at the Glen 2020,” AROC invites the membership to join on September 10–13, 2020, at the historic Watkins Glen Grand Prix Circuit for what is sure to be a great event celebrating “110 Anni di Competizione e Amicizia“.

Alfas at the Glen 2020 “110 Years of Competition and Friendship” will offer friends and family, food and racing with activities for both competition and street-driven Alfa Romeo cars. In 2005, 2010 and 2015 AATG boasted over 60 racing Alfas! September 19, 2020 | Save the Date for the Annual Capital Chapter Social hosted by Brad and Maggie Mellor in Vienna, VA. The Club will provide some food and drink, and we encourage you to bring a dish, dessert and/or side — and to RSVP so we know who is coming and bringing what. We also need volunteers for setup and breakdown.

May, 2021 | Currently postponed. All Italian Car Show, Vienna, VA
For years we’ve watched British, German, and Japanese marques host annual car shows in the area, and wondered why there was no Italian car show in Washington D.C. – the most influential city in the world – so for the fourth year, we’re going to have a terrific Concorso! We welcome cars from Virginia, Maryland, the District and beyond. The DC Italian Car Show typically draws cars from Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari, Maserati, Autobianchi, and Siata, as well as Italian motorcycles. We look forward to seeing 100+ shiny examples of local Italian automotive art on display in 2021. Car Show Address: Nottoway Park, 91537 Courthouse Rd., Vienna, VA.

July 20-25, 2021 | The 2021 Alto Miglia National Convention, Looking Back/Moving Forward. This year’s 2020 Alfa Romeo Alto Miglia National Convention has been rescheduled for July 18-25, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Co. Please note, if you booked 2020 accommodation, please see attached letter from AROC advising how to cancel your hotel room accommodation. 2021 activities schedules, registration and updated hotel accommodation is available at 2021 Alto Miglia Convention

September 10-12, 2021 | 24th Annual Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance
The 2020 Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance is cancelled. MotorSport Park located in Malvern, PA provides local marque car clubs the opportunity to gather in an exclusive parking area close to the show field entrance on Sunday. The Marketplace area features a variety of both automotive and non-automotive merchants, and offering specialized shopping for concours attendees.
